I really like both, Aiden, but I'd go for n. 1. I just miss the Webheads logo added to it in some way, or at least, mentioning the webheads Convergence.

Maybe below the line in logo 1 we could add a reference to the Webheadsinaction unConvergence 2009?

I'll vote for 2 :)

I like both very much: the second is more appealing, but the first has a Web. Could one of them be made with one of the Webheads' logos as part of the design? Great visuals, Aiden--thank you!

I second Carla´s opinion. The first one with the webheads logo included somewhere.

Hi All, this is my brother's work, btw :-) I like N1, but like what Carla said, add the Webheads' convergence title probably below the line. I'll add today (monday afternoon, 4/6 and will post it here.)

Like everyone else, I like both logos, but I prefer #1. I especially like the web motif and the connecting elements. I'm not sure that I'd like the entire title under the line, however—especially if it's in three parts.

Your brother has done a fine job with both logos. My preference is for #1. Thanks, Aiden. I also like the idea of a Webhead Convergence title under the image of the web.

I agree: I like the web in #1.

I prefer N°1 but agree that it needs ID to Webheads WIAOC 2009 in some way. When I look at it, I automatically want to use the acronym LCT. This would be a good tag. If you like the acronym, perhaps the police could be altered accordingly to highlight the LCT? Then along with WIAOC? LCT and WIAOC could even be semi-transparent within the spiderweb, together with the text on the right? Just some thoughts popping ;-)

Beautiful, Aiden! Wow! Your brother is very talented.
I vote for No. 1. It has a web in there and it's easier to read than 2.

I like #1 as well because it seems it would be easier to blend in with other objects. We display this logo next to an existing webheads logo and wouldn't have to 'rebrand' ourselves. I kind of like things that come in parts that can be broken down and remixed. Also as we already have a number of logos "up" something that could be added to what's there already would probably be easier to work with than something that would replace what's there, though there would be little inconvenience either way, and we do appreciate what your brother does for us :-)

I added the Webheads convergence title (based on what we have here http://wiaoc-planning.pbwiki.com/

I tried adding the Webheads logo, but it looks cluttered. Two symbols in one logo can be confusing.

Dear Aiden, with the changes, I'd go for number 3. It's great, and Vance has a point to have pieces that we can put together. I think 3 looks perfect now.

On the pieces train of thought I still go for #1. Technically we're the Webheads in Action Online Convergence so that would need to be brought in line, but displaying text is not a problem. I went to this page to show what I had in mind http://wiaoc09.pbwiki.com/FrontPage and discovered that we had on that page exactly what Aiden had put in her logos. However, the TEXT was easily rectified, as you can see on that page now. What Aiden's logo would do is replace the line of text between the webheads logo and the last line of text. It would go in a table next to the webheads logo. We could then make that table an image or simply insert Aiden's logo in the same way in other tables on other pages.

I kind of like the pieces way of working because it gives us more control over what is in the text. The GRAPHICS are much appreciated and I think these are Aiden's brother's unique contribution. So I would request graphics without text (except of course where the text is built into the graphic, as in our theme, which is NOT going to change :-)

Dear Aiden,
I go for #3, because I think it's important that we include the Webheads convergence title.
Kudos to your brother!

I will add #1 to the call for participation as it does not conflict with the UnConvergence title of the conference (although I do like #3).

Question: Is it 'Convergence or Unconvergence'? I could easily make the changes.

Note: I did the corrections, logos 3 and 4 :-)

Vance Stevens said

Dear lovely people,

To answer Aiden's question, we are technically speaking the Webheads in Action Online Convergence but we also have invoked the title unConvergence, as we point out in our CfP, about to be issued. The purpose of the un part of unconvergence was to get people thinking on the notion that they could propose their own presentations. The convenience of keeping the name out of the graphic is that we can fall back on one title or the other as it seems convenient to us.

I would like to adopt Robert's solution on our Wiki pages, and this is to replace where we have written the theme with Aiden's logo #1. We would then be able to adjust the name of the conference without having to go through a graphic artist AND have a nice graphic, thanks to Aiden and her brother.

Thanks webheads for pulling all this together,
^v^

In acting on my combined parts notion, I have put the logos up here: http://wiaoc.org
(This one is a mouseover, so hovering the mouse will get you a different logo)

I have also put up here: http://wiaoc09.pbwiki.com/

Two logo combinations are possible. I put those under Aiden's at the top of the page.

I like the more colorful one in conjunction with Aiden's logo. I'm thinking to change them all over.

On this page, I think it looks best when I write the text under. What do others think?

Some might prefer the text embedded in the logo. As the logo itself is established, Aiden, perhaps you could provide one with the text under for those who prefer that?

I think we should go with the text as it says at the wiki: Webheads in Action Online Convergence 2009 (May 22-24)

The UNconvergence idea was an effort to be provocative. As we have to make a decision here I think why not in the baked-in logo go for the milder approach.

Thanks for everyone's efforts.
